Tenue, also called Tenue de Grande Parade, is the
full dress uniform for all ranks. For mounted dress the key components are the Casque with
Plumet, Habit with Cuirass, Sabre, Culottes de Peau, Ceinturon,
Bottes. |

Pied (on foot) is the same Tenue de Grande Parade except sans Cuirass, with the Ceinturon worn en
baudrier (over shoulder), and Souliers (buckled shoes) replacing
the Bottes.

de Campaign is the Campaign Dress or Battle Dress (Tenue de
Bataille). This consists of the Casque sans Plumet,
Habit with Cuirass, Sabre, Gants, Surculottes, and Bottes.

d’Exercise, also called Tenue d’Instruction, is the Exercise
Dress worn for training purposes. It consists of the Bonnet de Police,
Veste d’Ecurie, Surculottes, and Bottes,

d’Ecurie is the stable
dress typically worn for work detail around the barn, paddock, and similar
areas. This dress consists of the Bonnet de Police, Veste and Pantalon d’Ecurie,
and Sabots. Old Sourliers could also be worn.

Petit
Tenue is the undress or casual dress. It consists of the Bonnet de Police, Habit sans Cuirass, Wool Culottes, Buckle
shoes.

Habituelle is the Ordinary Dress, also called Tenue de Ville (Town walking out dress).
This consists of the Chapeau, Habit sans Cuirass, Wool Culottes, Souliers (buckled shoes).
In Summer (ete) April 1st to October 1st white
stockings would be worn. |
